Digital Ad Summit 06 – Sympatico MSN Goes All Out

One of my favorite volunteer activities is helping to organize industry conventions and trade shows. At a lay level, you get to meet the crème de la crème of your industry’s leaders. You also get the opportunity to invite some great keynote speakers, and then spend the day as an ambassador for the event. It’s very rewarding.
When I got an invite the other day for the Sympatico MSN Digital Ad Summit 06, my first reaction was that this would be just another one of those corporate-created conventions where you’ll mostly be pimped on new services and opportunities.
Boy, was I wrong. Clearly, the people at Sympatico MSN wanted to have that rewarding feeling I talked about earlier.
Just one day after Search Engine Strategies in Toronto, Sympatico MSN delivers Digital Ad Summit 06. This is by invitation only. The event is being held in Toronto on Thursday, April 27th, 2006 and features a half day of the best speakers out there in the interactive space.
Bob Garfield of Ad Age Magazine is joined by Joseph Jaffe, Steve Rubel of Edelman, Jeffrey Cole from the World Internet Project, Chris Dobson who is MSN International’s VP of International Sales and Trade Marketing and Brent Lowe-Bernie who is President of comScore Media Metrix.
All of this plus networking and lunch – compliments of Sympatico MSN.
I know people (like me, for example) who pay a lot of money to attend conferences that feature speakers of this caliber.
Since Digital Ad Summit 06 is not open to the public, I will do my best to Blog live from the event.
It looks like late April is going to really heat things up for the summer.
