SPOS #99 – What You Never Knew About Consumers Online

Posted by

Welcome to episode #99 of Six Pixels Of Separation – The Twist Image Podcast. My conversation with Brett Hurt from Bazaarvoice could well provide some of the most fascinating insights into Consumers, and how they buy online that I have ever heard. We recorded the conversation at the Shop.org Online Marketing Workshop in Phoenix, Arizona this week. My guess is you will have more than a handful of moments where you will have to rewind the Podcast to digest the information and stats that Brett provides.   There’s also some overly-flattering feedback from Jeanine Arnopoulos over at Pastor Paul’s Mission, and Jay Berkowitz from Ten Golden Rules offers up some really cool (and free) online tools to make you a more effective Marketer. Enjoy the conversation…

Here it is: Six Pixels Of Separation – The Twist Image Podcast – Episode #99 – Host: Mitch Joel.

  1. More than two years after this happened, I just got around to listening to this because I read Six Pixels and this is mentioned in the book… specifically that negative reviews convert better than good ones… that’s MIND BLOWING and completely opposite of what a marketer would think… it’s at the 36 min mark. wild.
I wonder if this is still true? Especially after reading in eMarketer today that people are spending more time reading them. Unfortunately, this doesn’t article doesn’t say if people trust them more or less than 3 years ago, which would have been nice seeing as there have been a few dust ups over fraudulent reviews in recent time.
