Definitely want to step up to lend credence to the concept of six pixels of separation by answering your call to action on behalf of Avrum Nadigel.
He’ll be interested to know that the psychiatrists at the Douglas Institute here in Montreal are already using social media to build bridges with the community.
In fact, at June’s Third Tuesday Montreal, we had the pleasure of hearing the communications team from the Douglas speak about the blogging and podcasting projects they’ve launched.
I’ll simply leave a link here for Avrum to one of my blog posts explaining what’s being done through social media at the Douglas – it provides all the necessary links:
http://eminencegrisemontreal.blogspot.com/2008/03/douglas-institute-making-great-use-of.html
And, of course, I’ll be sure to tell the good people at the Douglas about this SPOS episode, so they can reach out to Avrum personally.
Cheers!
Michelle
