We talk about brain implants as if they’re simple, because we see them in science fiction. Two, we are all looking for a place to go that isn’t connected… where we can’t be reached… where everything that is stored in the cloud isn’t right there for the taking (or the scrolling through). We strive for simpler times and forget that in those days that have passed, the people back then also wanted things to be simpler… Times are always complex. How we deal with it? How do we move through it? How do we evolve? How do we find true connection? That is the struggle… but it’s nothing new because you can scroll TikTok now.” (Mitch for Alistair).

That is (and has always been) the place that gets me closest to anything I could define as ‘religion’. Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters (whether you like the band or not) have a knack for making every show both spectacular and intimate. We’ve seen these videos before… a member of the audience is pulled up on stage and can actually ‘hang with the band’ during a jam… this is one them… but it hits a little bit different.
