Light The Night… A Little Good… Together

Posted by

We’re better when we come together.

That’s the main idea behind “Commune,” the C in my P.A.C.E. framework. This weekend… it gets personal. I’ll be walking again in Light The Night, supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada with our team, Leah’s Helpers.

Leah is why I walk.

In 2010, my best friend called to tell me that his five-year-old daughter had leukemia. It was a conversation that I still struggle to put into words. Today, Leah is a healthy young woman. I’m deeply grateful for that… and I think about the families who haven’t had the same outcome… and those still waiting, hoping, and living through treatment… so, we keep walking.

There’s a lot competing for our attention.

Algorithms… bad news… people feeling disconnected… just name a reason to feel anxious about the world and you can find one… many reasons. Coming together to help is something we can choose. This community has done it before. Your generosity over the years has meant more to me than I can say. If something I’ve written, a podcast conversation, or an idea I’ve shared has helped you… made you think… or simply kept you company… and you’re able to give a little, I’d be extremely grateful. Any amount you’re comfortable giving is welcome.

You can support my walk here: Light The Night.

The walk is this weekend, so this is a quick ask… with a lot of heart behind it. Thank you for reading, listening, and being part of the many places we get to commune.

… And thank you for helping us do a little good together.
