Andy Nulman was instrumental for many years in bringing the infamous Just For Laughs Montreal comedy festival to the global stage. He then went on to co-create Airborne Entertainment which provides mobile content like ringtones, wallpaper, games, video and more. Airborne Entertainment was recently partially bought for over one hundred million dollars. He’s a former journalist, very funny guy and all-around nice guy. I worked at Airborne years ago as their Director of Marketing. I lasted a year. Andy let me go. It was one of the best things that ever happened to me (we still laugh about it now).
Getting past his dire mistake in letting me go, Nulman made the right choice to enter the Blog world with Pow! Right Between The Eyes – Andy Nulman’s Blog About Surprise. Anybody attending CaseCamp Montreal a few months back (yes, I’m working on another CaseCamp Montreal) was privy to Nulman’s new take on what it takes to make it in marketing these days – the subtle, complex and compelling art of surprise (and how to sustain it).
It’s a worthy read, if not just for Nulman’s quick wit and cunning linguist.
Get a shot in the pants of surprise over here: Pow! Right Between The Eyes.
