On Monday, I received a press release that Kathryn Lagden has joined AIMS Canada – Association of Internet Marketing and Sales – as the new General Manager (replacing Dave Forde).
The news announcement came in the form of an email from Bruce Powell (President of AIMS Canada) and states:
“Over the last year we’ve seen a tremendous resurgence in the internet sector – from the ‘web 2.0’ buzz to recent stories in the Globe & Mail – activity in internet marketing and sales is once again hitting new peaks. And in light of this resurgence we’re setting some bold steps to evolve Canada’s largest internet association.”
Powell then mentions the upcoming AIMS Email Marketing Summit which had a Montreal date. That date no longer exists (my assumption is that Montreal has been canceled?), but there is still a Toronto date set for April 18th, 2006.
Congrats on the new gig Kathryn.
