Third Tuesday Montreal Kicks Off On February 19th, 2008

It is now becoming a well-known event and gathering in Canadian cities like Toronto, Vancouver and Ottawa, and it has now made its way to Montreal. On February 19th, 2008 at Lolita Lounge (96 Sherbrooke Street West – corner Saint-Urbain) Third Tuesday Montreal kicks-off.

"3e mardi |Third Tuesday Montreal is a monthly meet-up to learn about and discuss the practical applications of social media within their industry. PR and marketing professionals interested in the social media phenomenon meet on (or around) the third Tuesday of each month to hear from and speak with guest speakers who are experts in the field of social media. The informal conferences are also a great opportunity to network with peers who are active in the field. Join the conversation!"

That’s what the Facebook Group has to say about Third Tuesday Montreal.

The first event will feature presentations by Mylène Forget (Massy Forget) and yours truly. I’ll be discussing the new fine line between Marketing and Public Relations.

This group would have never formed in Montreal had it not been for Michelle Sullivan and her passion to get more Marketing and Communications Professional connecting. Third Tuesday (as an event in Canada) would have never taken place had Joseph Thornley (Thornley Fallis and Pro PR) not devoted his time and passion for this industry to the cause.

The events are free and all are welcome. That being said, the best thing you can do is bring someone who may not really be connected to Social Media or Web 2.0. Actually, the meta-best thing you can do is bring two people like that – one from the agency side and one from the client side.
