I forgot to mention that I will also be doing a presentation on branding and the democratization of brands for the McGill Graduate Business Conference, which is happening on Friday, March 3rd, 2006.
Here’s how the McGill Graduate Business Conference website explains the event:
“Over a decade ago, a group of students gathered to create what is the only community-inclusive major event of the year that is planned and hosted by McGill MBA students: the MGBC. Topics in the past have included Leadership, Hypercompetition, Ethics, and Emerging Markets, to name a few. The conference seeks to join students, academics, business leaders, and the wider community to network and discuss topics that are germane to doing business in the modern era, whatever your business might be. The conference is financed by ticket sales, sponsorships from the local community, and through in kind gifts.”
I am very honored to speaking on the same day as two people who run companies I have a deep respect for: Laurence Lewin of La Senza and Elliot Lifson of Peerless Clothing.
This looks like a great day of learning and growing.
