- Here’s Why All Your Projects Are Always Late — and What to Do About It – Freakonomics. “This Freakonomics episode spoke to me. As a veteran of tech startups, it feels like Product Management is often less about articulating a vision and more about explaining delays. Basically it’s Murphy’s Law: We underestimate things – even knowing the time similar things have taken in the past. Besides, ‘This episode begins, as so many good things do, in Canada.’” (Alistair for Hugh).
- Smash the Wellness Industry – The New York Times. “‘Wellness is a largely white, privileged enterprise catering to largely white, privileged, already thin and able-bodied women, promoting exercise only they have the time to do, and Tuscan kale only they have the resources to buy.’ Great takedown. Ouch. And apparently Intuitive Eating is a thing now.” (Alistair for Mitch).

- Design Matters With Debbie Millman – Elizabeth Gilbert. “In the past year, I’ve managed to connect with Debbie Millman on a few occasions. We would both agree, that it feels like we are kindred spirits. Included on the list of rando sameness is the fact that we’ve both been podcasting since the early 2000’s… and have yet to relent. I really do love every episode and conversation that she has of Design Matters. If you want to think more creatively (and who doesn’t?), this is an incredible listen. You will feel like a fly on the wall, as Debbie has a deep conversation with writer and creative Braveheart, Elizabeth Gilbert. Take a listen, This won’t let you down.” (Mitch for Alistair).
- Chapter 18 – David Sedaris on holding happiness hostage and healing holes in our hearts – 3 Books With Neil Pasricha. “Early morning walks now include listening to some podcasts (I’m taking a break from audio books). Here. My good friend, Neil Pasricha, has this incredible show called, 3 Books With Neil Pasricha. He asks fascinating people for the three most important books in their lives. He then reads the books and flies to interview the guest in person. This is an older episode, but it’s fantastic. David Sedaris. No need to say anything else. Just listen…” (Mitch for Hugh)
