I posted a little personal story about singer/songwriter Lea Longo here a while back. It was a pleasant surprise to see the article, Has Great Songwriting Fallen Into Decline? – The importance of image and the technological sorcery that’s commonplace today seem to have made the crafting of a song less of an art, some able practitioners argue,” in the Montreal Gazette on Saturday, November 13, 2004. Not only does the article feature Lea Longo (including a great picture), but Bernard Perusse wrote a very insightful piece about how songwriters deal and work within an ever-growing-stressful music industry.
