Just a quick update on what’s happening with the Montreal Business Book Club and some of the great stuff planned for 2005, including a special session that I am finalizing now on Stephen Covey‘s Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People and a couple of opportunities where Business Authors may come, present their business book and join the session (so it’s a very exciting time!).
Our next session is taking place on Tuesday, January 18th, 2005, 6:30 pm here at Twist Image and we will be discussing: The Only Negotiating Guide You’ll Ever Need: 101 Ways to Win Every Time in Any Situation by Peter B. Stark and Jane Flaherty. If you would like to attend please email me first.
I chose this book after I came across it at a Borders Book Store in New York a couple of weeks back. As we get more involved in these books, I think we’re all seeing that, at the end of the day, it’s all about the sale and how it was negotiated. Playing off of last month’s selection (Jeffrey Gitomer‘s awesome The Little Red Book of Selling) I thought this book would make an interesting choice for this month.
I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy Holidays and all the best in the coming New Year. On a personal note, this Montreal Business Book Club was really created out of my passion for growing and learning. I’m honored that so many people have joined this group and the discussions have been truly inspiring. I know it may seem hard to believe but this will be our tenth session and there are over 100 Montreal business people signed up to get updates on the Montreal Business Book Club.
