You have to love Microsoft and Live Meeting. Their free webinar series, Leadership Forum, is featuring best-selling Never Eat Alone author, Keith Ferrazzi, this coming Thursday at noon. Titled, Relationships For Revenue Growth, the website describes this exclusive session:
“No one succeeds in their career without developing the right relationships. Whether an Entrepreneur creating relationships with suppliers and investors, a corporate leader forming relationships with other division leaders, or a student laying the groundwork for a first job, skills in relationship-building are the key to success.
Despite its importance, however, most of us don’t put anywhere near the same effort and rigor into building relationships as we do into planning and building the rest of our careers or strategic firm goals. We assume the ‘how’ and the ‘what’ are most important, and leave the ‘who’ to take care of itself.
In this presentation, participants will learn how to:
– Identify the relationships needed for meeting both your personal and career goals.
– Use the 4-Core principles behind building any relationships.
– Utilize relationships in your sales strategies.
– Turn business relationships into personal relationships.
– Create a pinging system that allows you to stay in touch with all of your contacts.”
Keith Ferrazzi’s book, Never Eat Alone, is a must-read. I am very much looking forward to this free webinar. As someone who speaks publicly on the art of networking, it’s refreshing to hear another business leader focus on the importance of providing true value to others by helping them succeed. A great man (Zig Ziglar) once said, “you can have everything you want in life if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” And, if all else fails, think about one of the ads for The Economist: “would you like to sit next to you at dinner.”
