Far be it from me to make any sort of political commentary in this Blog, but man, it sure is hard to focus on all of the cool digital marketing stuff going on when there’s so much hurt in this world.
I like new marketing specifically because it’s PR and not ER. Speaking of PR, I also think we’ve seen enough spin in the past few days to keep us dizzy for years.
I guess, like most of us, all I can do is hope that cooler heads prevail. That we all realize our true place on this third rock from the sun. None of us are here for a long time; we’re all just here for a good time.
I know, maybe it’s my own simplification of a very complex problem. But, that’s where the problems of the world align perfectly with digital marketing – sometimes the greatest success comes when the complex stuff gets broken done into something very simple – that’s usually where we see the best results and adoption.
In no way am I comparing warring factions to digital marketing. I’m just trying to grapple with thoughts that we’re all having. Namely, it’s not easy to go about our regular days and try to produce the best work we can when there is such anger out there.
