By Design

I should clarify (thanks Tara) that in my last Blog posting, Brand And Design Makes You Money, that my true definition of design is way above and beyond pretty colors and images. Great design is about usability. I think twist-ties are brilliantly designed. I also think that Velcro is great design. You like paperclips? Me too – brilliant design.
People who think design are not just thinking about how the brand works – but why the brand works.
Great design is about something so brilliantly complex that it is, ultimately, simple.
Like a band-aid.
Now go get some brand-aid.
