Web 2.0 To Web 3.0 According To Eric Schmidt Of Google

If you were unsure of how to define Web 2.0 and were wondering what Web 3.0 will look like, I’m not sure that this video will help much. It’s Eric Schmidt from Google fielding the question:

What do you think? Is Web 3.0 really about small applications (he didn’t use the word “widget”) that are interconnected? I seemed to have the distinct impression that Web 3.0 would be based around a truly Semantic Web experience.
Then again, I also never thought of Web 2.0 as a “marketing term.” If Web 2.0 is a marketing term, we need to do a lot better with our efforts at nomenclature excellence.
