Leaving Audio Comments For Podcasts – Enter The Carcast

Never has it been this easy. All too often I have every good intention of writing an email or posting a comment to the website or Blog of a Podcast I am listening to. Time catches up on me and I sadly don’t get around to it. Lately, I’ve been playing around with leaving audio comments. I’m loving it.
I started off over at Across The Sound with Joseph Jaffe, then I left a message for the guys over at Inside PR, and CC Chapman got some love for Managing The Gray. Tonight, my audio comment was featured on For Immediate Release with Neville Hobson and Shel Holtz.
I’ve been dropping these audio comments from my car on the way to the office. I call them Carcasts. They’re much easier than writing a Blog entry, and it’s a fast and effective way to let the people who are creating these Podcasts know that I appreciate the time, effort and content they put into them. It’s also a great avenue to ask a question or give feedback (think comments for Podcasts).
Last week, I added an audio comment line to my new Six Pixels Of Separation Podcast. The number is 1-206-666-3772. Why not give me a call and let me know if you think it’s easier or harder than posting comments or writing your own Blog entry? Audio comments create true conversation for the Podcast medium.
