Yesterday was a great day. I gave the opening keynote address for the InfoPresse Internet Day. There was a sell-out sized crowd (two hundred and fifty plus marketing professionals), and it was a true honor to sit next to Cory Treffiletti during lunch. All of the speakers were great, and I was especially awed by Louis Gagnon from Monster.ca and Martin Courchesne from Canoe. There are some killer interactive marketing programs being run only in Quebec that are, without doubt, world class.
After presenting Six Pixels Of Separation – The New World Of The Internet, I was approached by La Presse journalist, Marie-Eve Morasse for an interview.
The result is: Marketing 2.0 Sur Internet (the article is in French).
Here’s a brief description from the article:
“Le temps où les compagnies annonçaient leurs produits en achetant une bannière en haut d’un site Web est révolu. Spécialiste du marketing Internet, Mitch Joel appelle les annonceurs à mieux exploiter Internet.”
Loosely translated, it says that the days of companies’ advertising online with banners are evolving. Internet specialist, Mitch Joel, asks marketers to use other opportunities when exploring online marketing.
A special thanks to the Thomas and Marisa at InfoPresse for all of their help and support.
