  1. You’re the coolest geek in the world and you’re Global! Hope you chose an aftermint instead of gum…You have to be careful of what you chew in Singapore.

  2. Thanks Julia.
Trust me, the North American stereotype we have of Singapore is way off. It was one of the most amazing, relaxed and fascinating cities I have ever been too.
In fact, I don’t even think I saw one cop, police vehicle or anything of the sort, which surprised me because I had the same feelings prior to going.
I highly recommend checking out Singapore!

  3. I don’t believe that Singapore is 4 years behind any country in Social Media. This stat keeps coming up, but I don’t think it’s right.
Singapore is very high in technology adoption, cellphone use, text messaging, online video viewing, blog creation and RSS subscription.
What metric can be quoted to show that Singapore is behind?

  4. I agree with you Bill. I also felt that Singapore was miles ahead of the rest of the world in terms of technology adoption.
The general comments I was getting in Singapore was that the general public was still about four years behind in the adoption of Social Media (Blog, etc…). I did not believe that to be the case either.
I felt that, if anything, things on the Social Media front, were reaching a tipping point. All of the ingredients were present.
It was great to meet you and thanks for adding your thoughts here.
