PodCamp Toronto – Three Weeks Away

Posted by

If it’s half as fun and informative as PodCamp Boston was, you can be sure that PodCamp Toronto will get you all primed and ready to be a professional Podcaster.
PodCamp Toronto happens in three weeks from today: February 24-25, 2007 at Ryerson University in Toronto.
PodCamp Toronto is another in a long line of unconferences. An unconference is organized by an individual (or a group) through a wiki. It’s a blank slate and all of us get self-organizing by signing-up and adding our names to the wiki. Anyone can also present, all you have to do is sign up to do so.
To date, PodCamp Toronto has nearly one hundred and fifty people registered. I will be presenting, Building Your Personal Brand Through Podcasting, and I’ll also be doing a session with John Wall from The M Show called, What’s Hot In Marketing Your Podcast.
If you check out the registrants on the wiki, you’ll notice that there are people traveling from far and wide to attend PodCamp Toronto. I’ve designated myself as one of the main organizers and I’ve seen some emails floating back and forth about Friday night festivities. Also, Jay Moonah from the Podsafe music band, Uncle Seth, is lining up something special for Saturday night. Let’s just say that it will include a bar, some Podsafe music bands and lots of other special surprises.
Best part of PodCamp Toronto? (besides new friendships, networking and tons of great learning) – it’s one hundred percent free to attend.
What are you waiting for? Get self-organizing here: PodCamp Toronto.
I am booked and can’t wait to take part. Let’s make sure to meet up. There’s no doubt that the M-Audio MicroTrack will be firing on all pistons that weekend. See you in three weeks.
