Keynote For A Cause – Help Haiti

Posted by

Here’s an idea that I’m stealing from Joseph Jaffe (with his love and permission)… but with a twist.

I am auctioning off a Six Pixels of Separation keynote presentation with 100% of the proceeds going to the Red Cross – Haiti Relief.

I am putting a reserve at $15,000.

If you want to place a "bid", email me: mitch [at] twistimage [dot] com.

I will update any bids on this post.

Bidding ends Thursday, January 21st at midnight.

Here is the fine print:

  • Travel outside of Montreal would be over and above.
  • Copies of my book, Six Pixels of Separation, would be over and above as well.

On top of this, I will also make an additional $200 donation in the name of whoever the winning bidder is.

Challenge!

If you are a speaker/presenter, I challenge you to run a Keynote For A Cause event as well. Whoever gets the most amount for their keynote presentation will also get a $200 donation in their name.

While you’re at it, text HAITI to 90999 to donate $10 via Red Cross (in the US) or text HAITI to 45678 to donate $5 via Salvation Army (in Canada).

Do it now. Do it often. These are people, just like you and I. This could happen to anyone, anywhere. It’s our responsibility as human beings to help one another.

  1. Great idea, Mitch. I hope your fellow keynote-worthy speakers take you up on this. I’m going to join you in my own small way and promise to put on a B2B social media workshop to the first company in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area who promises to donate at least $1000 to Haiti relief.

  2. Bless your souls this is a wonderful idea! I wonder whether you local radio or newspaper might be worth contacting?

  3. Just a brilliant idea, Mitch. On a separate note, you’ve come to me exactly as your book suggests you would. A friend suggested your podcast. I started listening. Heard about your book, and bought it. And you came to me at the most opportune time. That’s karma. Nicely done, and I look forward to hearing more from you.
    Ad guy,

BTW, I loved the “who” on your twist image team, I was mesmerized:)
It was like Harry Potter or something:) that’s why I came to your blog, great info and sites.
